About SBTI

What drives you, and what shapes who you are?

SBTI is a personality exploration system based on five major models and 15 dimensions. Through 30 questions, it helps you understand your true internal operating patterns.

30

test questions

15

personality dimensions

27

personality types

5

major behavior models

How does the test work?

Complete the test in three steps, with results matched by algorithm, no subjective judgment required.

01

Randomized Responses

30 regular questions are shuffled in random order, plus 1 randomly inserted special question, reducing order bias so you can answer more naturally.

02

Dimension Scoring

Each question corresponds to a specific dimension, with scores of 1/2/3 per question. The sum of scores from the two questions for each dimension is converted into three levels: L (low), M (medium), H (high).

03

Personality matching

Using Manhattan distance, your 15-dimensional vector is compared one by one with the standard patterns of 25 personality types. The one with the smallest distance is your personality type.

Five Major Models, Fifteen Dimensions

Each model covers three sub-dimensions, together painting a complete portrait of your personality.

Matching Algorithm Overview

1

Raw Score → Level

Sum of two questions: 2-3 points = L, 4 points = M, 5-6 points = H.

2

Level → Vector

L=1, M=2, H=3, forming a 15-dimensional numerical vector.

3

Manhattan Distance

Calculate the sum of absolute differences between your vector and the standard vector of each personality dimension by dimension. The one with the smallest distance is the match.

4

Similarity Formula

similarity = max(0, round((1 − distance / 30) × 100)), full score 100 points.

similarity = max(0, round((1 − distance / 30) × 100))
